Connect Carrier Accounts

ShipGenius makes it easy to connect and manage your shipping carrier accounts from one place. This guide walks you through connecting USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL accounts to your ShipGenius workspace.


🔗 Step-by-Step: Connecting a Carrier

1. Navigate to the Carriers page

Click Carriers in the left-hand menu. You'll see a "Connect a Carrier Account" section at the top of the page.


2. Connect USPS

USPS accounts are authorized via a secure USPS login.

  • Click the "Authorize" button under the USPS logo.

  • You’ll be redirected to USPS to complete authorization.

  • Once connected, ShipGenius will display your USPS account status as ✅ Connected.

If you’ve already authorized USPS but haven’t entered full account info, you’ll be prompted to Add USPS Account Info.

USPS Troubleshooting

  • To disconnect USPS, click Log out of USPS (admin only).

  • If connection fails, try re-authorizing or contacting support.


3. Connect UPS, FedEx, or DHL

  • Click on the desired carrier’s “Add account” card (e.g., Add a UPS account).

  • A sidebar modal will appear prompting you to enter your Account Number, Client ID, and Client Secret.

  • After entering details, click Connect Account.

ShipGenius will validate the account and display it under Connected Carrier Accounts.


🔄 Managing Connected Accounts

Each connected carrier is displayed with:

  • The carrier logo and account number

  • ✅ Status indicator (e.g., Active)

  • Options to:

    • Edit credentials

    • Test connection

    • Delete the account (admin only)

You can update credentials at any time by clicking on a connected carrier and using the modal form.
